Jerome, I am disappointed in your post. Despite your purported experience in the Peace Corps it is apparent you are unaware who,in fact, is providing a large percentage of the relief food to Afghanistan.

Furthermore, it wasn't starving Afghanis that blew up mothers and fathers and even children in airplanes, the WTC and the Pentagon. It was in fact well fed and well financed terrorist whose goals are to spread their brand of hatred to the world. They want nothing more than to create revolution in every country of the world to undermine current world order. Misery loves company and these people are miserable human beings. The Taliban have for years successfully delivered their own countrymen into famine and pestilence.

You suggest that somehow the US should learn something from this. It is as if we really did deserve to have our airlines converted into human missiles and our hugely populated buildings into mince meat.

I am sure we learned something from all of this. Perhaps what we should learn is that there are people out there who are inherently evil and we must learn to combat them at every level. Not because we intend to return evil with evil but because we have no choice. They kill without regard to any form of humanity that we understand.

Jerome, I am curious, what is it you think the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden should teach us which is truly worthy of learning?
