Everyone wondered how greenspan could escape this financial mess he has created with his reputation intact, and this is the event he has waited for. I expect he will resign within the next few months. He can blame the following great depression on the bombing/war effort, instead of accepting blame for inflating the money supply beyond all previous levels.
