Hello Sonny,

Yes, it is very interesting to review what we have written in 1998. Things do have changed a lot since. I think AOL is kind of fortunate in its merger with time warner since that put it as more of a mixed play of media as well as internet. The other pure internet companies like yhoo have not been doing as well. However, it is easy said than done, I myself have also got into some internet stocks as well.

Anyway, I believe that it will take a while for the economy and stocks to come back since seem like we are in a vicious cycle right now, companies cut budget and layoffs occur because of revenue shortfall and profit squeeze, and that in turn is cutting down the purchase of other types of products and lowering consumer confidence. And that in turn is cutting in to the profit and revenue for other companies.
The economy needs some stimulus to get it running full speed again. Maybe the government increase spending could be a way to improve that, like rebuilding the WTC could take lot of resources. But somehow, I do believe that the economy will come back in some time, after all, it is the U.S. technology that is leading the world and U.S. currency that other countries respect the most.

Take care,

Ronnie
