that is a real good question.
most commercial state maps are 1:150,000...that is what i had in mind.

regardless of the map...understanding the concept is what is important here. when depicting fallout zones and escape routes, close counts. the major point i wanted to make is to be able to project the broad danger zone and then to get moving out of and away from the projected zone.
