OT rambling post--read at your own risk Don Hays says this is best buying opportunity and is moving to 100% stock allocation in model growth portfolio. Only a depression can halt the upcoming rally. He believes this period is comprable in many ways to the Cuban Missile Crisis. I was a college student then and can attest to the fact that we went to bed for 13 days, almost doubting that we would awake. People stopped shopping then and business slowed to a crawl. Of course the difference is that when it ended we all went back to our regular lives. Going back here will be more difficult but it has already started. What we need is to witness our successful first strike. What we need is to keep the terrorists on the run. What we need is to take away their money. What we need is air marshalls. And so on. As far as the first strike we are only days away if that. We will attack the Taliban and overthrow them. We will find many of bin ladens followers and kill them. Maybe we will even get him. Next Saddam. We have moslem allies for both. In Afghanistan we have 3 former soviet republics and russia. We have Pakistan who at some point will brutally crush Islamic fundamentalist oppostion--human rights folks please avert your eyes. We have Iran who is on the verge of re-entering the civilized world. That probably goes for syria as well. For Iraq we have Kurds ready to move, perhaps Iran, perhaps Turkey. Saddam must be taken out. This is where chemical, biological and nukes are being produced. mike
