B-Man,
My gut feeling is that the company is nearing an announcement of a financing deal sometime real soon. As for interest, I believe some of the potential investors at the conference are waiting for an announcement of this sort before committing to buying the stock. As for the weakness in the shares recently, Tescorp's IR person explained to me that he believed the weakness was coming from a broker who was trying to make a short-term killing on the Smith Barney conference, hoping the stock would spike up so he could get in and out in a week or so. If this is true, I'm glad he's gone because I truly feel he will be kicking himself in the --- in a few months for thinking so short-term. TESC shares are now trading at less than $950 per sub. At the conference, management told the audience that the large players entering Argentine are paying upwards of $1,200 per sub for the larger cable systems (50,000+ subs; TESC has 68,000). I hear the year-end numbers are due out tomorrow.
