I personally commend Pakistan President's decision to stand-up to the outrageous act of terrorism on US soil. However, it is even more commendable to take step to stop terrorism on any soil.

Double standard

Sir, - The barbaric attacks in the U.S. were no doubt a brutal deed against humanity. But who are the Taliban? Who is this Osama bin Laden? The Taliban were trained by the U.S. and Pakistan to fight the Russian troops and Osama was CIA's man. The U.S. Government is harvesting what it cultivated.

The man behind the Mumbai blasts was Dawood Ibrahim, who is alleged to be residing in Pakistan. If the U.S. can think of attacking Afghanistan for giving shelter to Osama, why can't India attack Pakistan for sheltering Dawood Ibrahim? Will the U.N., NATO and other countries at least give moral support to India?
