I was referring to canadian law, and as moral precept, not example of statute ... international law? - that comes from the oval office, there's the reality of empire .... the powers that be in the US don't want international law to be anything else because then they become the powers that were, their Oliver Norths would be in the dock, the mothers of the tortured and killed in the witness stand .... but, however enlightening this may be as background, it is irrelevant to the moment

len, bin Laden is a bad guy ... his note of this morning adds to the weight of evidence which was already more than ample ... best case possible - he and his henchmen are captured with the aid of the majority of afghanis who have been brought onside by astute diplomacy and copious bribery, thereby denying him his world war between major cults ... the Norths and Calleys will get off, they always have, best we can hope for is that the species survives until our great grandchildren get the declassified scoop on their crimes .... achievable goals, man, go for what you can get - 'politics is the art of the possible'
