Is anyone else out there questioning the wisdom of pumping 15 billion into the airlines? The CEO of Continental pulls down $12 million a year and the others are in the same league. The airlines were in trouble before this attack. Why not let them go through bankruptcy like everyone else? Let the bankruptcy judge decide how the money is to be spent. Maybe he would start with these ridiculous salaries the CEOs are making. Why should we, the taxpayers, have to pay for those excesses? Why don't they contribute a little of their salary to keep more of their people on board instead of laying them off and making us pay for it?
