I agree with you on that TDM might be able to better
leverage its installed base with Compaq. I have no beef with the
merger -- I think it benefits TDM significantly. It is the price
I'm muttering about.

I believe that Tandem's sales will be picking up and based on
2xsales, I got that $30 figure. The $22.50 acquistion price
is 1.5xsales (same as Compaq's), only that the sales is __current__
sales. TDM's management seems to have sold at the worst possible
moment.

As to sell or hold, I'll hold. I just moved TDM from the value side
of my portfolio to the growth side. Luckily, such moves are not
taxable :)
