"God entrusted women with protecting children & they most certainly have lived up to that trust.
MY ANSWER: Unlike you, I do not profess to know what God is doing, but there is plenty of reason to believe that men are and have played a significant role in the protection of their children. Also, I am not sure that a Woman who undergoes partial birth abortion is in any way protecting her child. I have the same reservations about late term abortions. ************************************************************************************** YOU SAID “You can discuss your opinion with your significant other BUT you are not qualified to vote whether abortion should be legal or illegal.”
I SAID: O.K. somehow you apparently believe that it is perfectly o.k. to disenfranchise men when it comes to abortion."
YOU SAID: <<ANSWER:
A man does not have the life experience that would qualify him to vote on whether abortion should be legal or illegal. Women throughout the world have those qualifications; therefore, if it was possible today to have such a vote.....I would follow their decision to the letter of the law.
As far as the spirit in the Constitution. It was written at a time when the writers couldn't even imagine women having the right to vote; so, it needs to be ratified on this point. The day the USA finally votes into office its' first woman president is the day it will have finally matured & developed beyond its' paternal obsession. The more input a culture has from womanhood, the more civilized it becomes. 50% input from men and 50% input from women makes for a wise & loving society. >>
MY ANSWER:
You have confirmed my suspicions, you really do believe in what you are saying and the implications of it. Now let me see how this works. Does a person who is not a scientist and who has no knowledge of science have the right to have an opinion and vote on an issue such as global warming., for lack of qualification.
Does someone who has never been in combat have the “life experience” to vote on whether we should go to war or have the draft or draft women or permit women to be in the military.
Do you have to be a terrorist to vote on laws relating to terrorism, or maybe you need to be the victim of terrorism, to have the appropriate life experience. Do you have to be a murder victim to vote against murder, or is it enough just to have been related to a murder victim, or maybe if you saw a murder on television that qualifies you.
A basic tenant of our country is universal sufferage and we allow just about anyone to vote. We don’t look at life experience or knowledge , we all get to vote. It is that simple. So the question is what is so special about the abortion issue that you believe that men should be denied a vote. I think that is just preposterous.
Let me ask you this question. Suppose a majority of women were pro-life, do they have the right pass laws outlawing abortion.
Lastly, you have again utilized the rubric that men who oppose abortion, somehow want to control women. That is an assumption on your part, which indicates that you have some very pre-conceived biases. I know of no objective evidence of such a statement.
