Motorola's current supplier of liquid LI-Ion batteries is Toshiba. They are trying to develop some type of flexible battery for next generation communication devices. As for the LI-metal there is only one rechargeable lithium metal composite currently in commercial production. It is made by Tadiran

I also noticed Seiko was assigned a rechargeable lithium polymer battery patent. I think there is some serious competition brewing out there--much of it yet to be announced.

Some of the older posts at the aer thread when aer was at 9 dollars may have some application to some of the developmental stage companies involved in lithium polymer.
