If you want to engage in serious discussions about weighty matters, you're on the wrong forum. This is where we come to take a break from that stuff.
The purpose of this thread is to make irreverent comments about Gorilla & King investing and each other. Our standard for curmudgeonry is based on the definition supplied by AMF: curmudgeon: anyone who hates hypocrisy and pretense and has the temerity to say so; anyone with the habit of pointing out unpleasant facts in an engaging and humorous manner.
There are plenty of threads where you can get educated, educate others, or wallow in the woes of the world. If that's what you had in mind, you've lost your way, cause this ain't one of them. Henceforth non-humorous commentary about foreign affairs, politics, terrorism, tools of war, prostate cancer, etc., are considered off topic.
Note: expressions of patriotism are always in fashion, and particularly in times like these, but if possible, try to make them engaging.
