Frank, Might as well add my own Natl Enquirer opinion here, while I have been irritatingly contrary lately, ggg! IMHO, the Afghan part of this "war" is not going to be quite as lengthy as everyone seems to be thinking. Lot of disinformation in the media. Also not as long a setup as D. Storm IMHO, the T doesn't have a lot of conventional forces as did the Iraquis. W got the big cutters out and is going to prune every branch of the Taleban tree, they will completely lack the logistical support of a neighboring "Big Brother" as both Korea and Vietnam had and yes even, via US support, the Afghans themselves during the Russian invasion. Furthermore I'm guessing we have something the Russians didn't, a technological means of dealing with the Afghan cave-tunnels. Just guess work, nuff said.
