how come so many Arab or Muslim people feel so much hatred for the "infidels"?
Bingo... why do they hate the Jews?? Why don't the Palestinians hate their Arab brethren who have oppressed them far more grievously than the Jews every have... Where a Hashemite King denied them the opportunity for their own homeland on the east bank of the Jordan river.
People cry over how the Jews treated the Palestinians and Bedouins... But my god... look at how their own muslim "brethren" have treated them??
Arab brethren who left them in destitution, encamped in refugee camps in Gaza and the West Bank, until the Israelis conquered and occupied them in 1967. And what's even more strange is that the unemployment rate in the Gaza strip dropped to 2% within a couple of weeks after the Israelis took over, and now 30% of all Palestinians rely upon the Jews for their jobs.
And if you extend the argument one step further and ask yourself, "since all the current Arab states are as artificially established and bordered -due to arbitrary assignments of borders by the British and French- as the state of Israel, including Egypt, what right do any of them have to claim that the Jews are "intruders" or "oppressors"??
Israel took those Arabs who opted to remain in Israel and integrated them into the society. Arab Israelis are FAR MORE prosperous than their "brethren" who suffered in Arab refugee camps because their fellow muslims were UNWILLING to integrate them into their societies.
In fact, not only did the Israelis integrate their Arab and Druze populations, granting them citizenship and political representation in the Knesset, they were also obligated to accept the Oriental Jews who were being kicked out of every Arab nation in the mid-east.....
NOW TRY AND TELL ME WHO HAS BEEN THE OPPRESSORS THROUGHOUT THIS REGION???
And mind you... I'm not even Jewish, nor do I feel any special "affinity" for Israel, except an admiration of their determination to survive the perpetual aggression waged against them by the Arabs.
I don't consider the Israelis to be US allies anymore than I consider Egypt, or Saudi Arabia to be our "friend"...
But what I do believe is that one HAS TO LOOK at the issue through some fairly objective perspective of "realpolitik" on a brutal level. |
