dabum, the Dorsey Wright Assoc. PnF charting service uses the bpnyse as the main indicator for bull and bear market. stockcharts.com This indicator would have to reverse into Xs to 24 to give a "bull alert" signal. But a full "bull" status means it has to surpass the previous column of Xs. Quite a ways to go. What's nice about this indicator is that it is discrete, or digital. It is intended for cautious longs. Tom Dorsey's PnF book has a good chapter on it. When I read it I always thought of brief corrections only, nothing like this. How humbling. I hope you ring a bell when it's over. :) Gottfried
