I struggle with my own beliefs. ...not the least of which is we forget in what we believe.
If I were on a jet with some people persecuting an obviously Arab person, what would I do? I feel myself losing patience with Muslims--just the idea of them, really, since I don't think I know any. I hope I would be almost as quick to defend the unjustly persecuted as I hope I would be to try to stop a terrorist.

One thing I do notice is that we seem to be applying the same "civil liberties" to illegal aliens as we do to our own citizens. I'm really having my doubts about that. They shouldn't be persecuted, just sent home with little fanfare and NO delay.

I couldn't believe the report I heard that the INS does no effective tracking of people with visas once it puts the stamp of approval on them. I personally think that should be stopped NOW. When a visa is approved, the subject should be given an exit date and place to appear with a plane ticket home and if he or she doesn't they should be arrested and deported as above.
