Short covering in the early 2000 drove the market through the roof. Then short sellers have driven it to where it is now. Of course if you can take the shorts out the market will go up. If they are going to allow people to sell what is not theirs they should at least regulate it and ECN is one way to stop the Market Makers in line with the shorts from maipulating a company.

That is why I respond to comments ... small investors and unregulated companies get screwed by the manipulators. The new day trading rules are going to screw the small investor also. But all the small investor can do is write and make their comments. Maybe Bush and our Congress representative will stand up and raise sands.

But I put a comment page on my website for those that want to. studiedstocks.com
