I should think Osama's plans are transparent:

1)Provide false intelligence via informants who believe it to be true.

2)Concede ground to the Northern Alliance, to make it appear they are on the run.

3)Draw attackers further into the toughest regions, but with time limited by the pending winter (should be snowed in within 3 weeks).

4)During every attack by US forces, a cell will counterattack someplace else in the world in some visible, well-documented way. A principal target: the leadership of Pakistan, where they might gain access to Pakistan's nukes.

5) The Taliban leaders and Osama will hide in heavily populated areas. Hiding behind women & children is de rigeur.

6) Stage bombings of innocents in Afghanistan and claim the US or Israel did it.

7) Wherever our military got pulled away from is also a place where attacks may occur.

8) Trying to take down enough of the Net to create havoc on markets and elsewhere.

Conjecture is all this is, but I hope these possibilities are fully considered.
