Stanley,

I said it has a lower speed integrated RAMDAC than the competition. The RAMDAC speed now is matching where the competition was 6-9 months ago, and they have all moved up in that regard. The RAMDAC speed (as well as amount of memory on a board) determines the resolutions and refresh rates it can handle. This is how I mean the competition has a leg up. It's not a major advantage, but it's still something the competition can do that TSNG is lagging in.

The press release talks about better bandwidth, which is also true of the competion. Everyone is running 83 or 100MHz SGRAMs, so the MDRAM bandwidth advantage has narrowed quite a bit. If the ET6100 addresses some of the issues with the ET6000 (internal FIFOs ran much slower than the maximum bandwisth of the MDRAM), this could produce sales. You should know a big part of the video quality playback advantage the 6000 had was in that it had X & Y scaling, while most of the competion had X scaling and Y replication. That too has changed now.

Maybe the 6100 is a great part, but every company's press releases make their products sound incredible. Time (and testing) will tell how much this will help TSNG investors.
