I agree with his assessment of the enemy. However, I do not agree that missile defense is a fantasy. 40 years ago, putting man on the moon was a fantasy. A full examination of the intelligence failure and responsiblity should be undertaken when the wounds have healed somewhat. I have no doubt this will follow in the days ahead at a more appropriate juncture. Its the way our system works and their is adequate precedent for my confidence.... As to the "fundamentalists" I was inquiring about, I was bothered by the portion of SR's post which seemed to equate the animals responsible for these atrocities with "fundamentalists" in our own democratically elected, checked and balanced, judicially reviewed government. Personally, I thought it was unwarranted and unjustified, perhaps even inappropriate given the circumstances .... JLA
