thanx, i've seen this...comes right on the heels of Rudi Dornbusch's "gold is dead" article in the FT. that guy is a MIT economist, who promised in '98 that the economic boom would "last forever".
which not only goes to show that being a professor of economics at a reputable university doesn't preclude one from being a total nitwit, but also makes me feel very comfortable about gold's future...if THIS guy proclaims it 'dead', it's like the kiss of life...
