Hi Rashid,

Things doing OK and busy. Great volatility = great opportunity (and risk).

re: the article on restricting short selling - Actually it is worrisome as this bread and circus type populist pap unfortunately often appeals to folks who want to blame someone other than themselves for the fix they are in - the general malaise of many who won't take responsibility for their actions. If this came to pass, would we also gut the derivatives markets? Or just prevent the "little guys" from shorting to protect them a'la pattern daytrading rationale?

A few cynical quotes to go with the article come to mind:

"When buying and selling are controlled by legislation, the first things to be bought and sold are legislators."
--P. J. O'Rourke

This country has come to feel the same when Congress is in session as when the baby gets hold of a hammer.
-- Will Rogers

No Man's Life, Liberty or Property are safe when Congress is in session.
-- Anon.

Peace and Justice --- Patrick

P.S. You were right that JNPR had a couple points in it - last week took positions in it and several others as the fear was running rampent - sold some this AM. Not posting much as vitriolic attitudes of many are a waste of time to read. I need to concentrate on trading, having missed a week's income and intermediate/long term accounts took some bad hits.
