I think nothing less than the elimination of the Taliban will do. These attacks are the fruit of their extremist fundamentalism. And like I said before, the reason they didn't bless these attacks isn't because they don't believe they shouldn't have happened. It's because they fear reprisal. That's it.

Of course, what I am advocating may be very impractical. Even if the Taliban were to be disbanded, their extremist ideals will still live on underground. But it's hard to imagine than anything would be worse than letting the Taliban exist in its current form. This cult is more dangerous to world peace than the Soviet Union ever was.
