I think the nvidia chips have a larger cost structure as 0.18 micron.

Larger die due to graphics engine and superior audio.

Also latest process due to graphics core speed requirements.

Alternate chipsets are low cost on bog standard 0.35 going to 0.25 micron process.

Its a dog that cant hunt.
