Not the point John.
Well, ain't that the pot calling the kettle black...
I was thinking the same thing about your absurbly false quip that D. Long was asserting the Bible was a legal document (which he wasn't):
Message 16411559
Is the Bible a legal document? Is it a land deed?
Now, we all know that you don't believe Israel should have been formed as a nation.
But I don't believe Eqypt should have been created and named for a country that existed 2,0000 years ago, either.
And I don't believe that Wahabbis and Saudis should be able to exile a bunch of Hashemites, who in turn are given the territory of Jordan and Iraq by the British... Especially when they have NO ANCESTRAL LINKAGE TO EITHER REGION!!!
All of these nations are artificial Len, not just Israel. NONE OF THEM have a history as a nation/state because the Turks ruled the entire regions for hundreds of years.
So if you're going to made ludicrous statements about Israel not having a right to exist, you need to compare that to the "legitimacy" of its surrounding neighbors.
And if you want to talk about Israeli "oppression" of its Palestinian minority, let's talk about how Hafez Assad of Syria dealt with his unruly dissidents.
Ever hear of the "pave the earth society"?? Assad was the local chapter president in Syria.
He PAVED OVER the entire city of Hamah, AFTER killing 20,000+ Sunni muslim inhabitants and leveling the town in 1982...
All because they didn't like him, or his Alawite (shiite) clan...
