People with fluent aphasia have problems understanding spoken and written language. This type is also known as sensory, posterior, or Wernicke's aphasia. People with non-fluent aphasia have difficulty communicating orally and in writing. This type of aphasia is also called motor, anterior, or Broca's aphasia. Sounds like the later, Broca. With brain lesions there is a lot of variation depending on exactly which synapsis are affected. I've heard it called temporal because the lesions are in the temporal lobe. It can also affect the ability to comprehend expressions in people's faces. (and probably a bunch of other things too, again depending on the precise synapsis).
