Speculation is everywhere that we are at a bottom.

I doubt it - at least in technology. We have yet to
see the massive rationalization that is needed. Except
for HP/Compaq, where are the consolidations? There
is still way too much capacity in semiconductors,
manufacturing and contract manufacturing.

I will believe we are nearing the bottom when the big
start eating the mid size. I think it is still a while off.
Many second tier firms still have a ton of cash and they
are playing a giant game of chicken.

When Intel, Cisco, Dell, Microsoft, Applied Materials have
enough confidence in the future to start buying, then we are
at the bottom.

Cheers,
Paul
