Universal Express $389 Million Dollar Judgment Attorney's Statement

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 2001--Universal Express, Inc.'s (OTC:USXP - news) General Counsel, Chris Gunderson provided today, due to shareholder
questions, the following updated statement from the Company's lead counsel, Arthur W. Tifford, Colonel, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.): ``Despite some understandable banking
and administrative setbacks due to the September 11th attack, I believe that the $389 million dollar judgment in favor of the Company is substantially collectible over a
relatively short period of time pursuant to a myriad of recovery efforts already underway, not all of which can be disclosed at this time due to the confidential nature of our
national and international efforts. Garnishments and attachments are being filed expeditiously and although we all sometimes get impatient, speed in this case is not as
important as thoroughness.''

Universal (USXP) operates several other subsidiaries in logistics (Luggage Express(TM)) and International shipping (WorldPost(TM)). Its association of private postal
stores (PBC) provides various support services and numerous other programs to its members.
