<<<, Has anything really changed with MCLD in the
last month? >>
Not that I'm aware of. In fact I was told the company used the last few months as a time to clean up its business by "cutting the fat".

<<Could it be as simple as margin calls? >> No. Margin calls would of hit when the stock closed below $5.00. It's been under $5 for some time so it has not been marginable for some time.

That goes for shorting it as well. All the selling volume is actually selling with no shorting as stocks this low are not shortable (exception by some small brokerages in different countries, but that wouldn't show up as nasdaq sales).

On the positive side, MCLD is in the Nasdaq 100 and the Nasdaq has said it probably will not enforce the delisting rule (stocks under $1 usually become delisted from the nasdaq) for at least a year. One could say the Nasdaq thinks some of these companies will be back over a $1 within a year.
