<<Regarding CWNT, what would a "typical" contract be?>>

That can't be answered right now. I can say that when ASND started winning contracts, they averaged between $50 million and $150 million - for INITIAL orders, as they built out their networks.

Darn! SI has cleaned off all it's old ASND posts. None of my bookmarks works. I had them all nicely labeled too. Yahoo! is a blank now too.

ASND won with Williams, Level 3, Qwest, Sprint, UUNET/WCOM and several others.

I'm NOT saying CW will match that, but I AM saying the potential is there for some large wins. BETAs take a while because as the testing goes along, bugs or missing features get uncovered, which requires fixes (or as in earlier this year, a whole new software release), which extends the testing period further. CW is trying to break into a market for which CSCO has been developing code for MANY years. Each customer wants something slightly different. It takes time to first get it working then dot all the "i"s and cross all the "t"s.

I stick by my earlier comments. CW has huge potential. Even 2-3 wins secures their future.
