Once and for all, Mr Thomas, here are the facts of war starting Is/ME. Check, encyclopaedia Universalis, Britannica, Strategical Study Groups, Egyptian archives, French Ecole de Guerre, and probably any of this thread head links and anyone you want that was not involved in the conflict and that has studied History for its own sake. (We shall not consider prior political causes or even "casus belli" but heavy military action only.)
48 Five or six Arab Nations attack Israel. Does the number really matter ? Does it matter why ?
56 Israel, France and England attack Egypt.
67 Israel attacks Egypt and Syria, then Jordan.
73 Egypt and Syria attack Israel.
82 Israel attacks Lebanon.
Now sir, you can bet that each one of these nations had its advantages in undertaking action. Some missed their wars, others missed their victories etc. But does it matter here?
Let's us stay in the world of facts and leave emotions out. As we have been asked to do by the creator of this thread.
Now if you care for the number of casualties, one side of those conflicts never provided any, and another was specific.
So can we move to more pertinent subjects being "WAR" or do we have to stay stuck on Israel for another 107 years ?
The world is changing fast, we better be on the deck. |
