OT I am very much enjoying the discussions on the thread, political and financial. Thank you! From what I understand one of the possible concerns in whole-hearted backing of the Northern Alliance is that in fact they don't represent the Afghan majority, but are actually a loose-knit group of tribes and minorities. Perhaps similar to the issues of the Kurds? If one of the results of this is that the Northern Alliance ends up "ruling" Afghanistan, it will be a fragile throne...
