Re: Silicon Integrated System (SiS) debuted its SiS650 Pentium 4 (P4) integrated chipset Meanwhile the SiS645, an Intel licensed DDR chipset for P4, started sampling in August and enters volume production next month. The SiS 645 uses DDR333. We already know that P4 with DDR266 is competitive or better than PC800 Rambus. One inexpensive channel of DDR333 will certainly outperform 2 expensive channels of PC800 Rambus. It looks like the endgame for Rambus is going to be during Q4.
