Sam o,

Although I try to be analytical as much as possible, trying to determine deterioration or improvement will be quite subjective. I normally like to take a relative approach. Lets take a hypothetical situation: On MON the NAZ NET NEW HI-LOs improved dramatically from negative 700 region to the negative 200 region. Then today the HI-LOs dropped sligtly today while the NAZ/NDX was flat. OK, lets say the NAZ/NDX is flat again tomorrow, but the HI-LOs are down more than today - I would consider that as negative to some degree - the lower the more negative. Can't give a finite %rate.
