Okay, millions of servicemen saved (an untestable number BTW), but these were non-combatants. More Japanese would have died in an invasion then from the bomb (and more did die from the fireboming raids on Tokyo then either one of the A-bomb drops). Even if you don't include military personel it is likely that dropping the bombs saved Japanese lives. Tim
