You still haven't address the point that old growth forests are different than new growth. It does really matter so much how they differ only that the creatures and other plants of the forest evolved with primarily old growth.

There's nothing wrong with regrowth forest per-se, it's just that we need to preserve a balance and there is already more forest that has been cut than there is forest that remains uncut.
