Milo, you originally said, "they [Intel] do have allot of unused fabs. Intel has shifted allot of personal from Flash to CPU fabs. Flash fabs are almost vacant in some areas."

Remember? And this is what your first hand knowledge tells you?

First, D1C is not, and was never a flash fab, at least not in the majority. D1C is one of the fabs where they manufacture on .13u. It's a development fab right now, but it is leading the way to 12 inch wafer technology. So your first hand knowledge is obviously wrong.

Fab15 is the flash fab that I know of, but I assume that Intel manufactures flash in some of their other plants, too. I know people that work for fab15, and so far, the plant is far from vacant.
