First of all, I am not against retaliation against the Taliban. Second, even if I was, that is no comparison with Nazi Germany or Japan. They were not trying to remove foreign control of their own land. They were trying to expand their borders. They were trying to impose their hegemony on other countries. I have not seen one iota of evidence
that Bin Laden wants to impose Muslim hegemony on the Western world.
