You are right about MS having the majority of code. I know we have a few really large excel spreadsheets around. I might be able to come up with a really meaningful excel bench by using those. On the other hand, most corporations don't bench their in-house apps, they just trust their vendor ( Dell,HP, Compaq & Intel ) when they are told that the latest box they're buying will be an improvement. I have to tell you that when I saw our bench results I felt cheated by Dell&Intel. That's not a nice feeling to push upon your customers. I now don't want to have anything to do with Dell&Intel. They are lucky that purchasing decisions are not up to me.... Constantine
