Mary, <Especially someone with your background who are direct beneficiaries of the Political Correctness Agenda>
You're right, Mary. Only after people started calling us "Asian-Americans" instead of "orientals" did we really make real achievements.
Frankly, I find it insulting when someone suggests that political correctness helped Asia-America get to where we are now. The Asian-American generation before us sure did very well without political correctness, and so will we.
By the way, was it "politically correct" to support admission quotas at the University of California schools? Funny how as soon as those quotas were eliminated, Asian enrollment soared.
<I don't know what you are trying to prove.>
If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. But if someone called it a duck, would that be insensitive to those who call it a goose?
Besides, this token attempt at sensitivity is going to go nowhere. I doubt anyone who calls the terrorists "freedom fighters" will accept Reuters' token attempts at sensitivity. Meanwhile, Reuters is dishonoring every victim of the attack, along with all of their families, friends, and others who sympathize.
Maybe Reuters and the rest of the press ought to stop using the term "anti-abortionists" as well, because one person's "anti-abortionist" is another person's "pro-lifer." Boy, I can go on and on!
