A moment of serious. I think there is a reason why we are all gamboling in this carefree spirit--a deep breath..a release of tension... We are all waiting. You know what, Poet? I think things will be done in such a way that the whole world benefits. I don't worry about a world war. Israel, Germany, and England could deal with everything except Canada (slight smile). I think the Americans have been in Afghanistan for a week. I think they can capture B. L., but I think they need to go further and create a moderate Arab buffer in Afghanistan. Just as Christianity was overcome (EDIT--brassbound Christianity) by the legal minds who created America--so can Islam be separated from the State and renew a people as the sphinx is renewed. Religious fanaticism flourishes in ignorance and poverty. It is destroyed by education and economic hope.
