Mary, <So far you haven't given one example where the Political Correctness Agenda has caused harm.>
How about the de-emphasis away from real solutions for minority Americans like education, strong parenting, more awareness of minority issues, and a real sense of right and wrong?
How about the anti-Christian viewpoints being allowed all across college campuses, while the Christian viewpoints are deemed "politically incorrect"?
How about the choking off of religious expression at the workplace?
How about the desensitizing of the needs of real victims due to the overuse of "victim politics"?
How about a backlash from the non-beneficiaries of political correctness because of its failure to truly lift the veil of ignorance?
Like I said, I can go on and on, but I'm unlikely to convince you or any other advocate of political correctness, at least on an Internet discussion forum. I can only tell you that personally, I have seen more harm done by political correctness than good.
As for Jozef, he made the same mistake you did. He tried comparing political correctness to communist oppression. The only difference is that he drew a connection, while you saw the distinction. In a way, both of you are right, and both of you are wrong. Political correctness isn't as bad as communist oppression, but that doesn't make it a good thing, either.
