Of course this is an inaccurate description of what Intel has done.


What, the 500, the dot-coms, or the visionary genius part?

And the >$3B in gains realized from our investing activity will pay for a fab or two this year.

Now that's an inaccurate statement as well. I don't think Intel has realized anywhere near that much. I think they did make over $1 billion from their investment in MU, which was ironic & accidental because they did it to induce Micron to make RDRAM and now Rambus & Micron are suing each other. But they continue to lose a ton every Q on their walking-dead attempts at diversification.
