Wrong! We are the most admired nation in the world Tenchusatsu, who would want to live in the bombed out building I see on TV in kabul, Afghanistan? Would you want to invest in a piece of downtown property in a third world country? Not me. Why are immigrants flooding over our borders every year in desperate hope of improving their lives? They want our life style and prosperity. Why does every nation look to the United States before proclaiming their thoughts? Just look at the stock markets around the world the night before our markets open and after some big news is announced in after hours in our country. These markets feed a lot on our economy and our investment. We are NOT the laughing stock of the world and in most instances we are envied, copied, sought after, and admired. As a first generation American I can tell you my family struggled to arrive and prosper in this country for over six decades. They did well and I am proud of their accomplishments. The could not have done it in a third world country! No fair human could misunderstand our restraint and conviction the past two weeks on caution and proper response to a heinious crime. The fact the many in the third world and the many in the muslim world misunderstand simply magnifies that these people think opposite our beliefs. They see righteousness in issues we see as hideous. The battle is of the haves and the havenots. They want what you and I have. They feel it is theirs and we have lied and cheated to get prosperity. They would drag us down toi their level of existence instead of rising to our level of education and fulfillment. If they would take every dollar they spend on rifles and war materials and put it into education - the whole world would prosper. So I don't want to hear some downtrodden group deride our moral and civilized conviction as being a siource of resentment. What they resent is that they have so little and they squander it on war and terror.
