Sauteed Soft- shells.....

I've tried 'em a few times, even tried to saute them myself once. I let my wife enjoy them. I don't like the texture; it seems like I'm chomping on enlarged crispy fish scales.

The law enforcement reactions around the world, while differing in specifics have the same trend. Law enforcement initiatives that were blocked previous to Sep 11 because of civil liberty issues are being re-proposed. The UK is considering, again, national ID cards among other things. I saw a recently article on US Justice Department initiatives. Being the law enforcement conservative that I am, I agree with some, some others send chills down the liberal side of me. In particular, the indefinite detainment of foreign persons entering the country with a wave of the pen. The expansion of the FISA for wiretapping, while obscure in it's detail is of great concern.

In one of my jobs, I tried to sell US immigration on the idea of using a biometric technology for identifying terrorists at the point of entry....low budget, too expensive ... I wonder if they would reconsider.
