biz.yahoo.com Pulse First to Market With Dual Gigabit Ethernet Magnetic Modules New Magnetics Module Reduces Production Cost, Board Space, and Replaces Two Single-Port Modules With One SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2001--Pulse announces a new line of dual Gigabit Ethernet magnetic modules for networking applications.
These transformers are designed for the implementation of Gigabit Ethernet over Category 5 cable and provide electrical isolation and low common-mode emissions in Ethernet switches. The magnetic modules are Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.3ab compliant for Gigabit Ethernet over copper wire.
``Pulse's new line of dual Gigabit Ethernet magnetics modules are the first of their kind,'' said Miguel Padilla, product line manager at Pulse. ``They offer the functionality of two single-port devices in a single package, thereby reducing production costs and using 20% less board space.''
  Technical Information
The H5012 and H5014 are designed for 1:1 turns ratios applications and are approved for use with the Broadcom BCM5402/5404 and Marvell Alaska(TM) 88E1020/20S and 88E1040/40S/41/41S/42/42S transceivers. The modules are available in a 48-pin surface-mount package designed to withstand industry-standard reflow temperatures. Electrical schematics, detailed electrical performance data and mechanical drawings are available on data sheet H503, located on Pulse's Web site at pulseeng.com.
