the Apostles Creed predates Constantine and the "Roman Catholic Church" so it can hardly be ascribed to them alone.

It was changed several times, in case you are interested. It was codified by the Roman Church in order to consolidate its power and authority.

it is indeed a reliable indication of Christian belief. I fail to see the big deal in that.

You just said it wasn't! You can't have it both ways, LOL! Your words: "Traditionalist believe most if not all of the Apostles creed, while modernists, would believe little, if any."

I will decipher it for you, Greg! Since an Atheist, or a Muslim, can ALSO believe little or none of the Creed, THEREFORE, the creed, in and of itself--according to YOUR WORDS--is NOT a reliable indicator of Christian belief...unless you wish to claim that "modernists" are NOT Christians!

Now don't get those cookie crumbs in your slurry! ;-)
