The plane was 757 holding 159 passengers. So 60 people is about 37% load factor. On how low do we go; I monitor about once a week Larry's favorite newspaper <g>, the Newark Star Ledger, for column space for foreclosures and help wanted space. In good times we have abot 1 to 1 ratio of foreclosure notices to help wanted ad listings. In the recession of 1989-91 we havd about twice as much space for foreclosure notices vs job lisitings. Currently roreclosure notices are running 8 pages up for 4-5 pgs and want ads are now at 1.5 pages-- mostlty construction trades for housing -- down from 4 pgs. The foreclosure notices are trailing statistic but the employment is truely worring since if housing slows where really in the crapper big time. john
