Those of us who have collected coins or have been a coin dealer over the years just love the TV shopping channels promoting "rare collectible coins". I sometime laugh out loud at the bizarre claims made to get you to call right now !!

When their customers bring their rare $399 American Eagle to a coin dealer, who offers spot for a common bullion piece, it is always the coin dealer who is trying to rip them off. I guess it is hard to admit paying $399 for something that could easily be found for closer to $300
